How Salera works

How Salera analyzes company data

Salera reads the systems you approve, maps how work runs across workflows, systems, and processes, and finds the value creation opportunities in them.

Review process

From company data to a finding you can check

Your team sets the scope and approves access. Salera does the reading, analysis, and checking across every approved source.

01

Connect

You approve read-only access to the systems in scope. No one has to clean up the files first.

02

Read and match

Salera reads email, chat, documents, and system exports, and matches the same people and vendors across them.

03

Analyze

Salera maps how work runs across workflows, systems, and processes, and finds the value creation opportunities in them.

04

Check

Every citation and calculation is checked against its source. A reviewer examines anything still open.

05

Deliver

Your team gets a value creation plan and supporting workbooks, with every opportunity ranked by value and linked to its source.

06
Optional

Follow up

If wanted, Salera records each decision, so results can be compared months later.

Client decisions

Partners, principals, and executives decide which findings matter, settle exceptions, and approve action. If they want, Salera records their reasons and the results next to each finding.

Setup

Plug and play, with as little IT work as possible

Connecting Salera works like signing in to an app. The IT contact signs in to each system and approves a read-only connection, and Salera takes care of the rest.

A few hoursOf client IT time to connect the agreed sources, usually one to four.
A few clicksTo sign in and approve each read-only connection.
No network changesNo network or firewall changes in the standard setup.
Nothing to clean upSalera reads data as it is. Automatic filters remove sensitive files and email.
IT and security process

From scope to deletion

Read how client data is protected.

  1. 01Agree on scope with management and Salera before signing data processing agreements.
  2. 02Salera provisions a private cloud machine for the deployment.
  3. 03The IT contact signs in and approves each agreed connection with a few clicks.
  4. 04No network or firewall changes are needed.
  5. 05Salera runs the review and delivers the findings.
  6. 06Data is securely deleted after the engagement.
Hosting options

Choose where Salera runs

Every option keeps each client's data separate. The client chooses the option that fits its security rules.

Recommended

Separate Salera cloud

One private cloud machine per client. The fastest start and the least IT work.

More setup work

Client's own cloud

Salera runs inside the client's cloud account.

Strictest rules

Client's own servers

Salera runs on site. Requires extensive setup.

Review controls

Controls built into every review

Reading a whole company helps only when each answer can be traced. These controls tie every finding to its source. Tracking decisions and results, the last two, is optional.

01

Matching companies, people, and obligations

+

One customer can appear under different names in the accounting system, the sales system, and the contracts. Salera works out which entries refer to the same customer. Reviewers can see each proposed match, how confident Salera is, and which source supports it. Confirmed matches carry over to later reviews.

Salera keeps: companies and people, other names they appear under, relationships, confidence levels, dates, and reviewed exceptions.

02

Tracing sources, coverage, and versions

+

Salera links every number and statement to the file version and period it came from. Reviewers can open citations, check calculations, and see any change made to the data. Interview notes and professional judgments are labeled apart from system data. Salera lists every expected source that is missing or restricted.

Salera keeps: sources and versions, dates, citations, data changes, reviewer names, and sources read or missing.

03

Access limited to authorized people

+

Only people the client authorizes use Salera, and they already hold the highest level of access to the data in scope.

Salera keeps: the sources in scope and the people the client has authorized.

04

When sources disagree

+

When two sources disagree, for example management's account and the contracts or operating data, Salera keeps both, checks each against the rest of the record, and shows which one the evidence supports. If the record cannot settle it, the finding is marked open and names the source that would.

Salera keeps: conflicting statements, the evidence for each, how each conflict was resolved, and what is still open.

05

How work moves between teams

+

Salera rebuilds how work happened from transactions, approvals, queues, and system events. Process owners can compare that history with written policy and see each stage, handoff, control, and exception.

Salera keeps: process stages, systems, owners, controls, tasks that wait on other work, handoffs, variations, and failure points.

06

Decisions and expected effects

+

If the client wants decisions tracked, Salera records who reviewed an issue, what evidence they used, and what they decided. Reviewers can see the options considered, the approvals, and the expected effect on value, timing, or risk. When an assumption changes, the team can see which decisions need another look.

Salera keeps: issues, evidence, reviewer judgments, options, decisions, owners, approvals, actions, and expected effects.

07

Actions and results

+

If the client wants follow-up, Salera records how management responded to each warning, forecast, and recommendation. Reviewers can check whether management acted and what changed, with links back to the original evidence. Teams can test earlier assumptions against later results.

Salera keeps: forecasts, warnings, recommendations, decisions to accept or reject them, later results, accuracy history, corrections, and conditions for reuse.

Review levels

Start small and add data at any time.

Smaller reviews work best when focused on one team or question. Larger reviews give Salera more context and evidence for its findings.

ReviewWhat Salera readsClient IT time*
Minimal reviewData roomStandard data room and core software: ERP, HR, accounting, and industry-specific software.1 to 2 hours
Medium reviewOperating dataAdds curated sets of routine operating data: process documents, business communications, machine and transaction logs, and standard operational reports.2 to 3 hours
